About
For any parent with young children who would like to help them learn to code and get them ready for the digital future! These sessions will be run remotely via live webinar. From the comfort of your own living room, you and your child (or children) can follow along and learn the basics of coding, computational thinking, systems thinking and design thinking using Scratch.
Scratch is one of the most popular, block coding platforms for learning. This course is designed to show parents how to best support their kids to get to grips with key coding concepts and provide a terrific way for you to learn together.
What you’ll learn
- The fundamentals of block based coding
- Debugging skills
- How to create your own interactive games
- Computer science concepts in relation to coding and debugging
- How to make animations and visual and sound effects
Delivery
This course will run over 6 sessions – twice a week for 1 hour over 3 weeks
